After having laid out the technical requirements for an atmospheric particle system and sprite transitions, I began creating visual and UI concepts in Illustrator which I iterated on over weekly sprints throughout development.
Building on the color scheme from our concept art, I continued working with Vector art to explore a simplistic style using Fill layers and Transparency, capturing both depth and detail at a distance.
Over the last couple weeks of development I began doing passovers on all assets, SFX, and UIs in a 24 hour marathon of debugging and tweaks. These screenshots are samples from the final product.
